Continue this until you get up to fourteen doing three sets.

The deadlift is a basic exercise that carries a wide range of benefits. Not only does it make you strong and lean, it helps build body resistance and works your abs. When done correctly deadlifts provide a full body workout, strengthening everything from your handgrip to your calves. Doing a deadlift also teaches you how to move properly. Start by standing with your feet hip-width apart in front of a barbell. Bend over and grab the bar with a shoulder-width grip, making sure you are bending your knees. Take a deep breath, lift your chest while also keeping your lower back straight. Slowly lift up the barbell and end by standing straight.
